Description
Main inputs
24V: Main robot power supply. It provides initial power to the core FPGA control board and the network switch, even when all switches in the button box are in the off position. The 12V and 6V rails are converted down from this one as well. Each body part draws around 3-4 A of current when in motion, therefore a 24V 16A power supply is recommended for operating the robot at full load. If only one body part is required to be active at a time or just idle functionality is needed a 5A supply can handle the power consumption.
5V: Dedicated supply for the on board computing boards ( RPi, Jetson nano) as well as charging power for the face projector. The recommended supply should be able to provide at least 10A @ 5V.
Power rails
All 24V power rails can be accessed individually in the hip, as well as the extra connection from the unused switch in the button box. The 5V rail is routed directly to the head. The 12V and 6V rails can be accessed removing the back shell.
